Plastic thermoforming is used in both high and low volume production operations as well as for prototype applications in mass transit industry and others. The principal advantages of the process are its low initial tooling cost and its low equipment costs when compared to plastic injection and plastic blow molding processes.

Nofia non-halogenated, polymeric flame retardants enables themoformable to meet various rail and aviation fire, smoke, toxicity standards. The Nofia formulation enables lower heat release, allowing increased escape time.

When producing thermoformable sheets, Nofia customers can use their own standard equipment for processing, avoiding extra capital investment for other incumbent technologies.
